In 1884, Ferdinand Seethaler acquired the 150-year-old estate named after him for his son. He was a brewer and wanted to build up a new livelihood here. In 1906, the site becomes the property of the Wasserburger family. In 2009, the city of Dingolfing buys the building. The district and city library has been housed here since 2013.
